The Worcester Polytechnic Institute is excited to invite individuals to submit an abstract for presentation at the second annual meeting for the Advanced Biomanufacturing Special Interest Group (ABioM SIG), which will be held August 23-24, 2018. The theme of this year’s conference is “Creating Value through Innovation in the Biomanufacturing Industry,” and will draw upon past successes in the established protein and small molecule manufacturing fields to inform the emerging field of Advanced Biomanufacturing.
Topics will include: enabling technologies for advanced biomanufacturing, material and cell sourcing, cell manufacturing, tissue biofabrication, automated cell manufacturing and tissue biofabrication processes, product validation, regulation, and QA/QC as well as workforce training. Both poster and oral presentations will be selected from the pool of abstracts. The program will include keynote lectures delivered by leaders from industry and academia, panel discussions and exhibition sessions with pharma and biotech companies.
