Originally trained as a molecular biochemist (U. Copenhagen), Dr. Jensen is a molecular developmental biologist with particular expertise in development of pancreas, stomach, lung and gut, and has published >60 papers in international journals including Nature Genetics, PNAS, Developmental Biology, Development, Gastroenterology, and more. He is the E. J. Brandon Endowed professor in Diabetes Research at the Cleveland Clinic. He has led multidisciplinary teams in the academic space, and coordinated his own research as a faculty member at US institutions since 2001. Dr. Jensen has developed the instrumentation platform and determined the fundamental principles including the FATE SPACE method development. More recently, Dr. Jensen has focused on the value-creation process of innovation and team building, applying a rich scientific knowledge towards new technology-driven solutions to complex problems. He founded Trailhead Biosystems, Inc., and currently serves as the CEO/CSO
