Securing Leadership in Biotechnology & Advanced Biomanufacturing

The Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) is a Department of Defense-sponsored Manufacturing Innovation Institute, advancing the U.S. bioeconomy by enabling scalable, secure, and cost-effective production of regenerative medicine technologies. Through its program BioFabUSA, ARMI is accelerating the development of critical biotechnologies and building a domestic ecosystem for advanced biomanufacturing that supports national security, health resilience, and economic growth.

BiofabUSA

BioFabUSA, a public-private partnership with more than 170 members across industry, academia, and government, is driving technical and strategic leadership in the development and manufacturing of cell, tissue, and organ-based products. The institute’s work strengthens domestic supply chains, supports dual-use technology development, and prepares a skilled workforce to meet the demands of a growing, globally competitive bioeconomy.

ARMI BioIndustries

ARMI BioIndustries is the development, manufacturing, and commercialization arm of the Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI). It provides full-service support to advance regenerative medicine technologies from concept to production—offering the infrastructure, expertise, and capabilities needed to bring innovative biomanufacturing solutions to market.

NextFab

NextFab is the first Foundry for American Biotechnology, established to strengthen the nation’s health security and accelerate biotechnology innovation. Its mission is to support the development of technologies that help the United States prepare for and respond to health-related threats, improve everyday medical care, and expand domestic capacity for advanced biomanufacturing.
