The Advanced Regenerative Manufacturing Institute (ARMI) is a non-profit, public-private partnership founded to secure U.S. leadership in biomanufacturing. ARMI supports a capable and innovative biotechnology industrial base that is transforming the future of healthcare for chronic illness and traumatic injury while developing the workforce essential to this industry.
Project Description
A strong and resilient supply chain is essential for scaling cell- and tissue-based products. ARMI is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to identify a highly collaborative vendor to prototype software elements needed for safe and effective distribution of cell-based products at scale.
The selected vendor will:
- Develop and document software requirements based on up to five provided use cases.
- Demonstrate prototype functionality to support manufacturing and delivery logistics.
- Work closely with ARMI and stakeholders across industry, academia, and government.
Proposal Deadline: October 10, 2025 (11:59 PM EST)
Scope of Services
Vendors will be asked to:
- Develop functional software requirements for end-to-end supply chain management (source → supply → manufacturing → delivery).
- Define general system requirements, including security, integration, and reporting.
- Conduct an industry scan to identify potential disruptions to the supply chain.
- Build and demonstrate a functional prototype incorporating up to five use cases.
- Provide final recommendations and estimated costs for implementation.
Project Timeline: Contract execution through September 2026.
Eligibility: U.S. entities only. Members of ARMI or related organizations must confirm eligibility prior to submitting a proposal.
Deliverables
- Software Requirements Document (within 2 months of contract execution).
- Supply Chain Disruptor Analysis (within 4 months).
- Functional Prototype (by early September 2026).
- Summary + Next Steps Report (by early September 2026).
